Remove balm or gloss before applying a peel-off stain. The film needs direct contact with the lip surface, so an oily layer can leave a patchy result. Pat the lips dry and set a mirror where you can see the corners clearly. Tania uses the applicator directly from the tube. Check your product label before use and skip application over cracked or irritated areas.
2. Trace the outside edge with the applicator
For precise lip stain application, use the narrow end of the applicator to draw around the lips, keeping your mouth slightly open so the corners remain accessible. Work along one side at a time. Tania starts with the border before adding more coverage. If you make a mark outside the shape you wanted, clean it up promptly rather than waiting until it sets.

3. Decide whether to stain the full lip
Tania also demonstrates extending the stain inward across the lips. Follow your product’s directions for full-lip use and keep it off the wet inner mouth. Spread it evenly so there are no very thick patches beside thin gaps. A continuous film is easier to peel cleanly. Stop adding product once the area you want stained is evenly covered.

4. Let the film dry before touching it
Leave the mouth relaxed while the stain sets. Do not rub the lips together or add gloss on top of the wet film. Use the drying time on the product label rather than the short edited time between video cuts. The dark surface is the removable film, so do not judge the final color while that coating is still on.
5. Peel gently from an edge
For gentle lip stain film removal, wait until the film is ready, then loosen an edge and peel slowly, as Tania shows. Support the lip with your other hand if that feels easier, and avoid pulling sharply at a stuck patch. If part of the coating will not release, follow the product’s removal directions instead of scraping. Check the corners in the mirror for small leftover pieces.

6. Finish with a thin layer of balm
Once the film is removed, add a little balm or gloss over the stain. Tania uses a balm to give the finished lip a softer shine. Start in the center and spread outward without repeatedly rubbing the border. The color should now look like a stain rather than a layer of lipstick. Keep the balm with you for comfort instead of reapplying the peel-off film repeatedly.
