1. Choose the mousse and a clean mitt

Molly-Mae selects Extra Dark mousse and a fresh mitt. Choose your own shade rather than copying hers automatically. Before starting, patch-test as directed and prepare clean, dry skin. Keep tanner off irritated or broken areas. The preparation guidance comes from the product label, not a demonstrated prep sequence.

2. Work across one arm at a time

For even tanning mitt application, pump mousse onto the mitt and spread it along the arm with overlapping passes. Turn the arm to check the inner side and elbow. Use the remaining product over drier joints rather than adding another full pump there. Repeat on the other arm.

3. Blend the chest and torso

Apply more mousse to the mitt for the larger areas of the chest and torso. Work in sections, smoothing the edges between them. Check skin folds for excess instead of letting mousse collect. Molly-Mae shows her application on camera, then finishes covered areas privately.

4. Continue onto the legs and hands

Work over each leg, checking the backs as well as the fronts. To avoid patchy self tan around knees and ankles, use a lighter touch and blend with the remaining product. For the backs of the hands, copy her light pass with what remains on the mitt; do not load a fresh pump just for this small area.

5. Finish the face only if suitable

Molly-Mae lightly passes the remainder on the mitt over her face and blends into the neck. Follow your tanner’s face-use instructions and keep it away from eyes, lips and nostrils. You can skip the face. Let the tan develop and rinse at the time specified by your current bottle.
